Ben Simmons has sparked fresh speculation about a possible NBA comeback after sharing photos of LeBron James’ signature sneakers on social media following the four-time champion’s move to the Philadelphia 76ers.
The former No. 1 overall pick endured a turbulent exit from Philadelphia in 2022 after his relationship with the franchise broke down, eventually leading to a trade to the Brooklyn Nets.
Earlier this summer, Simmons hinted that a return to the 76ers could be possible as he looks to revive his basketball career after stepping away from the NBA.
Before his departure, Simmons enjoyed a strong start in Philadelphia, earning two First Team All-Defensive selections while averaging at least 15.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 7.7 assists during his first three seasons.
He has also mentioned the Miami Heat as another appealing destination, praising head coach Erik Spoelstra, the organization and its culture.
With LeBron James and Jaylen Brown now joining Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey in Philadelphia, Simmons’ social media activity has only added to speculation about where his next basketball chapter could begin.
