Anthony Edwards wins child support ruling in Georgia

Anthony Edwards has secured a legal victory in his ongoing child support dispute with Ayesha Howard after a Georgia judge set monthly support payments for their 1-year-old daughter, according to TMZ.

Court documents obtained by TMZ show the Minnesota Timberwolves star was ordered to pay $3,222 per month in child support.

Edwards, who signed a five-year contract worth more than $200 million with the Timberwolves in 2023, was listed as the family’s primary earner, while Howard reported no monthly income.

The judge also noted that Howard did not appear at trial or provide evidence supporting her claims.

The ruling acknowledged that Edwards has been making child support payments since January 2025, beginning with a $20,000 payment before continuing with monthly payments of $5,000.

According to the court documents, he has paid a total of $110,000 so far.

The dispute centered on where the case should be handled.

Howard filed for child support in California, while Edwards sought to have the matter decided in Georgia, arguing that Howard had no meaningful ties to California and filed there in hopes of receiving a larger award.

Edwards’ legal team also argued that Howard repeatedly delayed the proceedings and asked the court to prevent her from filing additional motions in the California case.

Ultimately, the judge agreed with Edwards’ position and ruled that child support would be determined under Georgia’s jurisdiction.
