Alex Antetokounmpo is returning to Europe after leaving the Bucks and signing with Greek club Promitheas Vikos Cola for the 2026-27 season.

The youngest of the Antetokounmpo brothers spent last season on a two-way contract with Milwaukee alongside Giannis and Thanasis.

He made six NBA appearances, averaging 3.2 points in limited playing time, while spending most of the year with the Wisconsin Herd in the G League.

Across 47 games with the Herd, the 24-year-old averaged 4.9 points and 2.9 rebounds.

Alex has built extensive experience outside the NBA, previously playing in Spain, Lithuania, Montenegro, and Greece before briefly joining Aris BC ahead of his return to Milwaukee last season.

With Giannis no longer in Milwaukee following his blockbuster trade to Miami, the Bucks opted not to retain Alex.

Some members of the coaching staff were frustrated that roster spots occupied by Giannis’ brothers could have been used on players expected to make a greater on-court impact.
