Panathinaikos AKTOR owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos has once again attracted attention with his interest in Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic.

The 52-year-old Greek businessman shared a humorous social media post on Sunday evening, using artificial intelligence to illustrate his ambition of bringing the Serbian center to Athens.

Giannakopoulos participated in a popular online trend that transforms people into Playmobil-style characters.

His AI-generated image showed him sitting at a desk, apparently calculating the amount of money Panathinaikos would need to offer to convince Jokic to join the Greek powerhouse.

The post was another example of Giannakopoulos’ admiration for the three-time NBA MVP, whom he considers one of the greatest basketball players of all time.

The Panathinaikos owner has repeatedly expressed his desire to see Jokic playing for the Athens-based club, although such a transfer remains highly unlikely.

Giannakopoulos has previously acknowledged that financial resources are not necessarily the biggest obstacle to signing the Serbian superstar.

Instead, he believes the NBA’s position and Jokic’s status as one of the league’s leading players make a move to European basketball practically impossible.

Despite those difficulties, Giannakopoulos continues to publicly express his interest in the Nuggets center.

Jokic has developed into one of the most successful players of his generation, winning three NBA MVP awards and helping Denver capture its first championship in 2023.

The Serbian international has also earned eight NBA All-Star selections during his career.
