Adou Thiero has caught Luka Doncic’s attention ahead of his second season with the Los Angeles Lakers, with the Slovenian star noticing a significant change in the young forward’s game.
Doncic believes the Lakers have several players who are not receiving much attention entering the new campaign. He expects the team’s recent additions in particular to make an important contribution.
“I think there’s a lot of underrated guys in our group. It’s just I can’t name one specifically, but our new signings, I think they’re very underrated and they’re going to help us a lot,” Doncic said.
When discussing individual players, however, Doncic pointed to Thiero and what he has shown since last season.
“But what I saw from Adou this year and the improvement is insane. So, I’m very excited for him.”
Los Angeles selected Thiero in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft.
His introduction to the league was complicated by rehabilitation from surgery on his left knee, limiting his preparation before his rookie season.
