USA Basketball has revealed a 23-man preliminary roster for the next stage of the 2027 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers, with several internationally experienced players included.
Mike James headlines the group after already making two appearances for Team USA earlier in the Americas Qualifiers.
The Anadolu Efes guard brings significant EuroLeague experience and could play an important offensive role during the upcoming window.
Jaron Blossomgame has also been selected. The Dubai forward and James’ former AS Monaco teammate will have an opportunity to make his senior Team USA debut.
The wider pool combines players competing in Europe and Asia with free agents and G League talent.
Jordan Bell, Brandon Knight, Nassir Little, Xavier Moon, James Nunnally, Elfrid Payton Jr. and several others are among those competing for places.
USA Basketball will reduce the roster before its first game of the window against Chile in Santiago on August 27.
The Americans will then return home to meet Colombia in Washington, D.C. on August 31.
Team USA enters the final qualifying stage in a favorable position, sitting second in Group E with a 5–1 record and holding a two-game advantage over the elimination places.
