Donovan Mitchell is keeping active during his honeymoon with singer Coco Jones, with the Cleveland Cavaliers star sharing a glimpse of the newlyweds working out together on a yacht.
Mitchell posted an Instagram Story showing himself and Jones completing a cardio session on the yacht deck. Jones ran barefoot on a treadmill while Mitchell pedaled a stationary bike beside her, with the pair exercising against a coastal backdrop of water, hills and buildings.
A crying emoji was placed over the center of the video as the couple continued their workout.
The workout comes shortly after Mitchell and Jones married on Aug. 1 in an intimate ceremony in Greenwich, Connecticut. The wedding brought together notable figures from basketball and entertainment, including NBA players Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson and Bam Adebayo, along with Ciara and former NFL quarterback Russell Wilson.
While Mitchell is currently away from the Cavaliers, the 29-year-old is coming off another high-volume season as Cleveland’s primary offensive option. He averaged 27.9 points, 5.7 assists and 4.5 rebounds in 70 regular-season games, shooting 48.3% from the field, 36.4% from three-point range and 86.5% from the free-throw line.
Mitchell earned All-NBA Second Team recognition and finished seventh in MVP voting after helping Cleveland post a 52-30 record and secure the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Cavaliers then advanced through Toronto and Detroit before being swept by the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference finals.
Mitchell averaged 26.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists while playing 36.2 minutes per game across Cleveland’s 18 playoff games. He shot 45.1% from the field and 32.7% from three-point range during the postseason.
The Cavaliers’ offseason has centered on keeping Mitchell as the foundation of the franchise. He agreed to a four-year, $273 million maximum extension in July, giving Cleveland a long-term commitment from its leading scorer.
