Keenan Evans is reportedly close to returning to Zalgiris Kaunas, where he enjoyed some of the best basketball of his career before joining Olympiacos.
According to Spanish journalist Chema de Lucas, Evans is expected to sign a 1+1 contract with Zalgiris.
However, the guard would begin the upcoming season with the London Lions, while the Lithuanian club would retain the option to bring him back during the campaign.
Evans previously played for Zalgiris from 2022 to 2024 after earlier European stops with Igokea, Hapoel Haifa and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
His strong performances in Kaunas earned him a move to Olympiacos, but injuries prevented him from establishing himself with the Greek powerhouse.
Evans suffered a ruptured patellar tendon before later tearing his left Achilles tendon.
The proposed arrangement would give the 29-year-old an opportunity to regain his rhythm and fitness in London before potentially returning to Zalgiris.
