Young Footballers Set for Rose of Tralee Cup U13 Blitz in Tralee

Some of Kerry’s most promising young footballers will descend on Tralee on Saturday, 15 August, for the annual Rose of Tralee Cup Under 13 Football Blitz, with 16 clubs from across the county and beyond competing for Cup and Shield honours. Sponsors are The Bons Secour Hospital, Tralee.
The tournament will be hosted across two venues, with Groups A and B playing at Na Gaeil, Killeen, and Groups C and D playing at Healy Park, Ballyrickard. Registration will take place at 10.00am at each venue, with the first games throwing in at 10.30am.

Organised under modified U13 football regulations, the competition will be played on a 13-a-side basis, with all games consisting of 10-minute halves. The blitz aims to provide young players with a competitive and enjoyable environment while promoting participation, sportsmanship and the development of Gaelic football skills.
The tournament will culminate in the Rose of Tralee Cup Final and Shield Final, both of which will take place at Na Gaeil, Killeen pitch at 2.45pm.
Tournament organisers are encouraging all participating teams to ensure players and mentors arrive prepared for a full day of football by bringing packed lunches, drinking water and appropriate clothing for all weather conditions. Teams may register a squad of up to 24 players for the event.
The Rose of Tralee Cup has become a valued fixture in the juvenile football calendar, bringing together clubs from across Kerry and providing young footballers with the opportunity to showcase their talents, build friendships and enjoy a day of high-quality competition.
