The Brooklyn Nets are continuing to explore ways to move up the board ahead of the 2026 NBA Draft.

Holding the sixth overall pick, the organization has reportedly been aggressive in trade discussions, attempting to combine that selection with additional future first-round picks in hopes of acquiring a top-four choice.

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Brooklyn has been willing to put together significant draft capital to climb higher, but those efforts have yet to produce a deal.

The lack of progress reflects how highly the top four prospects are viewed around the league, with teams selecting in that range showing little interest in moving down.

While the Nets remain interested in improving their draft position, league executives believe a move into the top four will be difficult given the separation many evaluators see between the top prospects and the rest of the class.

If Brooklyn ultimately stays closer to its current draft slot, or potentially moves down rather than up, the team is still believed to have a strong interest in Nate Ament.

Jake Fischer of The Stein Line reports that the Nets continue to be high on Ament, whose draft range is viewed as a more natural fit outside the top tier of selections.

As a result, Ament remains a name closely connected to Brooklyn as the draft approaches.
