The Utah Jazz have also yet to determine which direction they will take near the top of the draft board, according to The Athletic.
Holding the No. 2 overall pick, Utah is reportedly still evaluating multiple options and has not committed to any one prospect.
The organization has shown in the past that pre-draft workouts are not always a deciding factor, having selected Ace Bailey last year despite him never visiting the team before the draft.
Peterson’s agency, The Team, also represents Jazz guard Keyonte George, who is eligible for a contract extension this offseason.
Sources believe Peterson’s absence from Utah’s workout schedule could be tied to those negotiations rather than reflecting any preference regarding the draft.
The Jazz also have existing ties to several top prospects.
Cameron Boozer’s father, Carlos Boozer, is closely connected to the franchise, while AJ Dybantsa’s relationship with BYU creates a link to Jazz owner Ryan Smith.
However, league sources maintain that those connections are not expected to play a significant role in Utah’s final draft decision.
