Rich Paul addressed the growing speculation surrounding LeBron James’ future and revealed that numerous teams are interested in the possibility of signing the superstar if he reaches free agency this summer.
During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, the Klutch Sports founder said that as many as “10-12 teams” have shown interest in James.
However, Paul cautioned against reading too much into the rumors, stressing that no meaningful discussions have taken place regarding the Lakers star’s next move.
“Believe nothing that’s out there because I haven’t had one conversation with him,” Paul said about discussing free agency with the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.
James is set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, creating uncertainty about whether he will return to the Lakers for another season.
Despite the speculation, Los Angeles remains hopeful that the four-time champion will continue his career with the franchise.
Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka has already stated that the organization would like to bring James back for his 24th NBA season and ninth year in Los Angeles.
