J.B. Bickerstaff has reached an agreement on a contract extension with the Detroit Pistons, with the deal finalized shortly after their Game 7 win over the Orlando Magic to move past the first round.
After replacing Monty Williams in 2024, Bickerstaff has been credited with turning the team into a contender, earning a second straight Coach of the Year finalist nod.
The Pistons secured the No. 1 seed in the East this season and will next take on Bickerstaff’s former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, in the conference semifinals.
