Aaron Gordon trade possible

The Denver Nuggets still place significant value on power forward Aaron Gordon and understand how important he has been to their success in recent years.

However, ongoing hamstring and calf issues over the past two seasons have raised concerns about his durability, particularly when it comes to sustaining a long playoff run, according to Bennett Durando of The Denver Post.

While Gordon had previously been considered untouchable in trade discussions, league sources indicate that stance may change heading into the summer.

More broadly, as Durando outlines, much of Denver’s core, aside from Nikola Jokic, appears uncertain following another early postseason exit.

The team is still interested in retaining Peyton Watson, a restricted free agent who missed the series due to a hamstring injury, but bringing him back would push the Nuggets beyond the second tax apron.

Even before their disappointing playoff performance, there were doubts about whether ownership would be willing to take on that financial burden.
