Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro is expected to have a minor procedure this week, according to a report from Five Reasons Sports on Monday, April 27. The report said the move is not expected to significantly affect his offseason program or delay next training camp.

The timing matters because Herro remains one of Miami’s top perimeter scorers and a central piece of the roster’s future. In 33 games this season, he averaged 20.5 points, 4.1 assists, 4.8 rebounds and shot 48.0% from the field.

He also remained a reliable shot-maker from outside, hitting 2.5 threes per game on 37.8% shooting. That kind of production gave the Heat a needed half-court scoring option whenever the offense stalled.

Miami’s season also showed how much the team leans on multiple shot creators. Norman Powell led the club at 21.7 points per game, while Bam Adebayo posted 20.1 points and 10.0 rebounds, and Herro’s scoring and playmaking helped balance those numbers when he was on the floor.

The report suggests the procedure is precautionary rather than a major injury concern.
