The National Basketball Association has fined Julius Randle $35,000 for his role in escalating a late-game altercation during Saturday’s playoff matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets.
After Nikola Jokic initiated the incident by shoving Jaden McDaniels, Randle entered the situation and intensified it by shoving Bruce Brown.
His actions contributed to the escalation before officials intervened. Randle was also ejected from the game.
While it appeared that other players may have left the bench area, the NBA ultimately decided against suspensions, issuing only fines for those directly involved.
