During last year’s playoffs, rookie Tristan Da Silva saw very limited action with the Orlando Magic, appearing briefly in two games and totaling just five minutes without scoring.
In contrast, his role had expanded significantly this postseason, with the second-year forward becoming part of the regular rotation and averaging 19 minutes across the first two games of the series.
As reported by Jason Beede, Da Silva viewed his short stint in the 2025 playoffs as valuable preparation, even with the minimal playing time.
“Even being really up close last year and being able to see the level of focus, the level of preparation that goes into it and the level of play that’s at hand (and now) being able to experience that first-hand and playing, it’s a fun experience,” he said.
Da Silva has played 2 seasons for the Magic. He has averaged 8.6 points and 3.5 rebounds in 151 regular-season games.
The Magic are moving forward after their Game 2 loss, but they can’t just pretend that second half didn’t happen. Story: https://t.co/pYJf58iw07
