The 76ers have entered the competition for LeBron James, reportedly reaching out to express interest after the four-time NBA champion decided to explore free agency.

Philadelphia’s pursuit comes shortly after the franchise acquired Jaylen Brown in a blockbuster trade with the Celtics, sending Paul George and multiple draft picks to Boston.

The move gives the Sixers another star as they attempt to strengthen their championship aspirations.

With Brown already joining Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia has enough offensive firepower and playmaking to allow James to take on a complementary role if he chooses to sign.

The Warriors, Cavaliers, and Heat continue to be viewed as the leading contenders for James, while the Nuggets have also expressed interest.

James has instructed his agent, Rich Paul, to gather information from interested teams before making a final decision on his next destination.
