Despite speculation linking DeMar DeRozan to the Golden State Warriors following Jimmy Butler’s season-ending ACL injury, a Kings source told Sam Amick that Golden State has not shown any interest in the veteran forward to this point.

While DeRozan has been mentioned as a possible option externally, that chatter appears to be speculative and not aligned with the avenues the Warriors are actively exploring.

Amick also revisited his December reporting that the Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns and Chicago Bulls had previously expressed interest in Domantas Sabonis.

While that league-wide interest remains notable, Amick added that the Toronto Raptors currently appear to be the most serious potential suitor for the Kings’ center.

Toronto has been linked to Sabonis by multiple reporters throughout the season, with Jake Fischer reiterating on Thursday that the Raptors continue to maintain interest.

Elsewhere on the trade front, Amick echoed reporting from Ian Begley of SNY.tv in noting that the New York Knicks have not engaged in any trade discussions involving Karl-Anthony Towns, despite a report suggesting otherwise.

Instead, the expectation is that New York will prioritize maximizing Towns’ impact within Mike Brown’s system, rather than attempting to move him at a time when his trade value has dipped slightly.
