Ty Jerome is expected to enter free agency this offseason after a career-best campaign with the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto.

Jerome, 27, played a key role off the bench for the Eastern Conference’s top-seeded Cavaliers in 2024-25, appearing in a personal-high 70 games and averaging 12.5 points, 3.4 assists, and 2.5 rebounds across 19.9 minutes per contest.

He also posted career-high shooting splits, converting 51.6% from the field, 43.9% from three, and 87.2% at the line—marking his most efficient season since entering the league in 2019.

Scotto reported on X that Jerome is likely to depart Cleveland after the franchise acquired Lonzo Ball and re-signed Sam Merrill. With backcourt depth in place, the Cavaliers appear ready to let Jerome explore new opportunities.

The 6-foot-5 guard was on a two-year, $5 million deal and is now positioned to command interest across the league. Per Scotto, Jerome may attract offers near the full non-taxpayer mid-level exception, which is projected to be around $12.9 million for the 2025-26 season.

Cleveland finished the regular season with a league-best 64–18 record and swept the Miami Heat in the first round before falling to the Indiana Pacers in the Conference Semifinals.

Jerome’s efficient scoring and improved shooting made him a reliable contributor throughout the Cavaliers’ dominant run, despite starting only three games.

Originally drafted 24th overall in 2019, Jerome has played for five teams across six seasons: the Suns, Thunder, Warriors, and Cavaliers.
