Milwaukee built a 35-29 lead after the first quarter. Myles Turner drained two threes for six points, and Giannis Antetokounmpo scored four on a tip-in and layup.
Kyle Kuzma added five points off the bench with a tip-in. Matas Buzelis led Chicago with 14 points, including two threes and a dunk.
The second quarter stayed tight, with the Bucks holding a 65-61 halftime edge after outscoring the Bulls 30-32. Trent Jr. tallied eight points with two threes.
Josh Giddey dished five assists for Chicago. Nikola Vucevic managed six points in 24 minutes.
Milwaukee pulled ahead in the third, winning 37-32 for a 102-93 lead. Turner reached 16 points with another three, and Porter Jr. added seven with eight assists.
Ayo Dosunmu scored 13 points for the Bulls. No major absences affected either roster.
Chicago mounted a 28-point fourth-quarter push but came up short at 127-121. Dosunmu finished with 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting.
Buzelis ended with 19 points and four rebounds. Giddey tallied 14 points and seven assists.
Turner paced Milwaukee with 19 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Kuzma matched him at 19 points with five rebounds.
Antetokounmpo contributed 13 points and 10 rebounds in 21 minutes. Trent Jr. added 13 points.
Milwaukee scored 50 points in the paint to Chicago’s 62. The Bucks forced 10 turnovers for six points.
