Memphis Grizzlies head coach Tuomas Iisalo applauded the group’s bench energy/selflessness after last night’s 133-128 NBA Cup overtime road win vs. the New Orleans Pelicans (won three of the last four games).
(via Memphis Grizzlies):
“It helps tremendously, but it’s more that what it says about the group. They are cheering for each other. They’re happy for each other. They’re happy for each other’s success. Jock Landale came in the fourth quarter, came to our coaching staff and said, ‘If you want to roll with Zach [Edey] the whole fourth quarter, just go with him. He’s doing great.’ They’re very selfless acts on the bench: trying to get everybody going. And that’s what I mean that not only on the court, but also as a group, we’re finally starting to gel together and it’s great to see.”
