  • Real bid to hijack Zubimendi move

Real Madrid could stun Arsenal by landing Martin Zubimendi.

The Spain midfielder’s switch from Real Sociedad to the Emirates had appeared certain.

But Madrid are reportedly preparing a “final offensive” to recruit the 26-year-old.

The Gunners are losing Jorginho, while fellow anchorman Thomas Partey has yet to agree a new Emirates contract.

And Arsenal chief Mikel Arteta is keen to find a long-term partner for Declan Rice in the centre.

But reports in Spain say Madrid are very much still in the race for Zubimendi.

  • Davies lands new Spurs deal

Tottenham have decided to keep Ben Davies another season.

The versatile Wales defender, 32, joined from Swansea 11 years ago.

Spurs have activated an option to extend his contract by another 12 months.

  • Chelsea bid turned down by Dortmund

Chelsea have been rebuffed with a £29.5million offer for Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens.

The England Under-21 winger was at Stamford Bridge as a kid before moving to Manchester City and then the German giants in 2022.

But he’s been linked with a return to England in recent months.

And Chelsea are keen on a new wideman, despite Noni Madueke beginning to earn a regular place as well as breaking through with England.

But Dortmund could demand up to £50m for 20-year-old Gittens.

  • ‘Cunha & Mbeumo just what Utd need’

An Old Trafford legend claims Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo are perfect for Manchester United’s shake-up.

Brazil attacker Cunha has arrived from Wolves, while United are reportedly battling Tottenham for Brentford striker Mbeumo.

Former England and Red Devils defender Gary Pallister believes the duo’s top-flight pedigree is ideal – after Prem newcomers like Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have struggled.

Palister told compare.bet: “Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha are both fantastic players.

“Manchester United haven’t had that threat up front with both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee having their struggles.

“Mbeumo and Cunha have already done it in the Premier League and they know exactly what it’s all about.

“The size of the club might need acclimatising to, but they’re ready made for the Premier League.

They’re well aware of everything that’s going to be expected of them… and it’s probably just what United need right now to give them a threat.”

  • ‘Sesko more likely than Gyokeres’

Benjamin Sesko is rated Arsenal’s most likely recruit up front – despite Viktor Gyokeres still being on the radar.

The Gunners and Manchester United are both keen on Sporting Lisbon’s Gyokeres.

And it’s reckoned the Portuguese giants could now be willing to sell the Swede for around £60million, compared to his reported release clause of of nearer £85m.

But it’s increasingly suggested that Arsenal are focusing more on Sesko.

Sky Germany even say the Gunners have opened talks with RB Leipzig over the 22-year-old Slovenian.

  • Gunners wait on Thomas

Thomas Partey’s future is still up in the air.

Arsenal are understood to have handed their midfielder a “competitive offer”.

But Barcelona are amongst the rival clubs linked with the anchorman, who will be 32 on Friday.

Partey will be available on a free transfer at the end of June, following five years at the Emirates.

The Ghanaian is said to be “cautious” over extending his stay.

One reason could be the expected arrival of Spain star Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.

  • Bees ‘want £70m for Bryan’

Brentford would hold out for £70million for Bryan Mbeumo – as Tottenham and Manchester United continue to circle for the striker.

Spurs’ reported pursuit of Bees’ manager Thomas Frank has wobbled United’s position as favourites to land the Cameroonian.

Brentford still hope to keep hold of the 25-year-old.

And it’s thought United have already made two offers, including £50m plus £10m add-ons.

But the Bees ideally want at least another £10m.

  • Brighton make £34m bid for teen

The Athletic report that Brighton have made a £34m offer for Olympiacos wonderkid Charalampos Kostoulas.

Versatile forward Kostoulas, 18, is one of the hottest young prospects in Europe.

He scored seven goals in 22 league matches in his debut season in senior football.

Olympiacos rejected a bid of £30m plus Abdallah Sima last month from Brighton.

The Seagulls have already landed Kostoulas’ compatriot, 19-year-old striker Stefanos Tzimas, for £20.8m.

  • Pep closes on Wolves defender

Rayan Ait Nouri is poised to swap Wolves for Manchester City in a potential £36.3million deal.

The Algerian left-back, 23, has reportedly passed a medical and is ready to sign a five-year contract.

Sky Sports reckon City are paying £31m up front, with £5.3m in possible add-ons.

Nouri will be free to play in the Club World Cup if Etihad chiefs complete the transfer by 7pm on Tuesday.

  • EXCLUSIVE: Palace want Pavlovic

Crystal Palace will make a new move to sign AC Milan’s Strahinja Pavlovic with the Italian club wanting £40m.

Though the Eagles are set to start the bidding at £25m.

Juventus ace Tiago Djalo, who spent last season on loan at Porto, and Burnley’s Maxime Esteve are other options.

Two defensive reinforcements could be high up the shopping list if Marc Guehi leaves.

  • Sancho update

Jadon Sancho’s unwillingness to take a substaintial pay cut on his £300,000-a-week deal saw his permanent switch to Chelsea fall through, according to reports.

ESPN claim there is “tentative interest” from West Ham, but they would have to smash their wage structure to do a deal.

It leaves Man Utd with a major problem as the winger is out of contract in a year’s time.

The club could be forced into loaning him out while paying a portion of his wages again or look to mutually rip up his contract.

His hefty salary demands are no problem for Saudi clubs and there is interest from the Middle East.

  • Chelsea’s Maignan rush

Chelsea are in a rush to sign AC Milan keeper Mike Maignan in time for the Club World Cup.

The tournament begins in a week’s time but teams only have until Tuesday to register new players.

It means Chelsea have just two days to get the deal over the line.

Personal terms have reportedly already been agreed.

  • Davies extends Spurs stay

Ben Davies has signed a new one-year deal at managerless Tottenham.

The Wales defender, 32, is the club’s longest serving senior player after joining from Swansea in 2014.

And, just two days after Ange Postecoglou was sacked, Davies has extended his stay in North London to 12 years after Spurs triggered the option on his contract.

A Spurs statement read: “He’s currently up to 358 appearances in all competitions, level with the great Darren Anderton – making him one of only 29 players in history to have played 350 or more games for us.

“With 73 games under his belt in Europe, he’s just three off the record for the highest number of European appearances in our history.

“Over the course of his 11 years here to date, Ben has scored nine goals and led the team out as captain on 13 occasions.”

  • Reijnders medical

  • Go Git him

Chelsea are ready to launch a new and improved bid for Jamie Gittens.

The Blues saw a £30m offer turned down by Dortmund as they want closer to £40m for the English winger.

There is thought to be no such issue on the player’s side of the deal, with the 20-year-old already agreeing to a whopping seven-year contract.

  • Alisson going nowhere

Alisson has revealed he hinted that he want to stay at Liverpool for another two years.

There has been talk of him leaving with little time remaining on his deal and keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili was signed last summer and loaned back to Valencia.

But Alisson has said: “I’ve never been able to plan long term.

“Obviously now I have one year left on my contract and another year of club option, which they will probably exercise.

“It’s a decisive moment in my career, with a World Cup coming up. I want to be very focused, I don’t want anything external to get in the way of that.”

  • EXCLUSIVE: Bellingham’s replacement

Jobe Bellingham is set to follow in his brother Jude’s footsteps and sign for Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Sunderland are lining up fellow 19-year-old midfielder Charlie Gray as his replacement.

The Man City youngster has never made a senior appearance for the club.

  • Hojlund gives update

Rasmus Hojlund has broke his silence on rumours linking him with a Manchester United exit.

The striker, who managed just four league goals last season, is supposedly on the radar of Inter Milan.

But speaking on international duty with Denmark, Hojlund said: “I have a contract until 2030, so I expect to play for Manchester United.

“I’m looking forward to a little summer break, and then I’m fully dedicated to the project.

“I know I can’t get much out of reading things. I know what the facts are.”

  • Ox a Fox in the box

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could make a transfer return to England this summer… by joining Leicester.

The former Arsenal and Liverpool man has played under NINE different managers in two years at Besiktas.

But with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side keen to get his chunky salary off the wage bill, reports in Turkey suggest Leicester could offer him a route back into English football, albeit in the Championship.

SunSport revealed in January the Foxes were interested in signing Oxlade-Chamberlain but a deal did not materialise.

  • Can he Hack it?

England Under-21 star Hayden Hackney is on managerless Tottenham’s transfer radar.

The Middlesbrough midfielder, 22, looks set to leave his boyhood club after their failure to win Championship promotion.

The £20million-rated ace has already proven he can cut it against the big boys of the Premier League with stand-out cup displays against both Chelsea and Aston Villa last season.

Now he hopes to catch the eye at this month’s U21 European Championship in Slovakia.

A host of clubs have been monitoring Hackney for several months, including Portuguese giants Porto who had a measly £9m bid rejected in January.

German side Stuttgart are also keen as are Crystal Palace, but SunSport understands that Spurs’ scouts have also been running the rule over Hackney.

  • Would be in-Sane

Arsenal have moved ahead of rivals Tottenham in the race for Leroy Sane, according to reports.

Bild state that the Gunners are in pole position to swoop should the German decide to leave Bayern Munich.

His current deal expires at the end of this month.

The ex-Manchester City man has hired a new agent – but signing a contract extension at the Allianz remains on the cards.

  • Garna go?

Alejandro Garnacho may get a Saudi escape route — in a TRIPLE boost for Manchester United, SunSport can exclusively reveal.

The winger, 20, has been told he can find another club and Al- Nassr hope a chance to join his hero Cristiano Ronaldo tempts him.

There is also Saudi interest in United winger Jadon Sancho, 25, and Inter Milan want Red Devils striker Rasmus Hojlund, 22, on loan ahead of a £38million full-time switch.

United rejected a £40m January bid from Napoli for Garnacho but may get twice that from the Saudis.

Garnacho knows he is finished at Old Trafford after boss Ruben Amorim told him as much in the fall-out from last month’s Europa League final loss.

After the £62.5m signing of Matheus Cunha, Amorim knows the rest of his summer budget will largely be governed by departures.

But United look set to miss out on Napoli’s prolific striker Victor Osimhen, 26, after he reportedly agreed a deal with Al Hilal.

  • Greal good chance for him

Newcastle will try to rescue Jack Grealish from his  Manchester City hell – but only on loan, SunSport can exclusively reveal.

The Toon are keen on Grealish, 29, who is on his way out of the Etihad.

The £100million man was snubbed when City named their Fifa Club World Cup squad.

Magpies boss Eddie Howe will turn his interest into an approach if City look at sending Grealish and his £300,000-a-week wages elsewhere for the season.

And that will become even more of a Newcastle priority if offers come in for Anthony Gordon over the summer.

  • Let’s be Frank

Well, we said earlier Jamie O’Hara warned United about this…

And now SunSport can exclusively reveal that Tottenham do want Bryan Mbeumo to join with Thomas Frank — in a £70million double raid on Brentford.

Spurs have made Bees boss Frank their first choice to replace axed Ange Postecoglou and want to tie up a swoop quickly.

And the Europa League winners are trying to hijack Manchester United’s move for attacker Mbeumo — with hopes that landing Frank could help sway a deal.

Frank, 51, is open to the move across London and a £10m compensation package to land the Dane and his staff will not be a problem.

Spurs technical director Johan Lange, who worked with Frank at Danish club Lyngby, will play a key role in negotiations.

Then Tottenham can join the Mbeumo chase seriously and hope that being able to offer Champions League action will give them another edge.

United are edging towards a £60m deal and Spurs have cash to match that.

  • Kud be keen?

Arsenal have reportedly opened talks with West Ham over Mohammed Kudus.

The Ghana winger is expected to be at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war this summer.

And Football Transfers claim the Gunners want to test the Hammers’ resolve.

Kudus reportedly has an £84m release clause.

Arsenal will not pay that much and instead hope to seal a deal for around £50m.
