Tralee Parnells weekly notes

Academy Training
The club Academy training for U6s to U12s continues every Friday evening with U6s and U8s from 6 to 7pm at Caherslee (V92X025). Those who have not tried hurling before are always very welcome to come along and give it a go. Hurleys and helmets will be supplied by the club for the first few weeks.

Yes/No Gameshow
We had a great response to the Gameshow and with the final prize fund set at 300 euro. The question for the first weekend was “Will Cork score more than two goals against Clare on Sunday?” which caught out a lot of participants as more than half of the entries were eliminated.

U12 Hurling
Our u12 hurlers had two sporting games against Crotta in Caherselee on Thursday evening. Both clubs fielded two 9 a s ide teams. Well done to those who made their first appearance for the club and thank you to Donnacha and Conor for refereeing.

U13 Camogie
Well done to our U13’s who played their first game of the season against Killarney/Ceann Mara during the week. The opposition played a very strong opening few minutes which Parnells responded to. A great competitive game of Camogie was played between the sides which has given lots to focus on. Thank you to Killarney/Ceann Mara for the game and to Cloe who refereed the match.

U15 Feile na nGaeil
Hard luck to our players who lost out to Ballyduff in the division two County final in the Feile na nGaeil competition.

Junior Camogie
Thursday evening saw the launch of the new nine a side Junior League Competition with Tralee Parnells, lead by Captain Saoirse Maloney, taking on Causeway in a titanic battle at Pairc na Dairic pitch. It took the players a bit of time to get used to the nine a side format but without long both sides got into their strides taking some great scores! Although the scoreline didn’t reflect the performance management we were delighted with the work rate from the players as they creating some fantastic scoring chances. Well done to everyone and congratulations to Causeway on the win. Thank you Mike Hennessy for referring and to Kerry Camogie for this great initiative which will help develop and strengthen the Junior Camogie teams in the county!
