Thomas, Porter power Bucks to beat Magic 116-108

The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Orlando Magic 116-108, behind Cam Thomas’ 34 points and Kevin Porter Jr. with a triple-double of 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists on Wednesday night.

Jericho Sims and Ousmane Dieng scored 17 points apiece for the Bucks, and Sims added 11 boards, outrebounding the Magic 47-30.

On the other hand, Desmond Bane led the Magic with 31 points, Paolo Banchero added 17, and Jalen Suggs had 16 points, 10 assists, and four steals.

Bane hit his first five shots – all three-pointers – and had 20 points by the middle of the second quarter.

The Magic’s leading scorer scored eight straight, including a three-pointer to tie it at 104 with 3:02 left, but Kyle Kuzma scored on a layup to put the Bucks ahead to stay at 108-106.

Thomas signed with the Bucks as a free agent on Sunday, and now made 12 of 20 shots and hit four three-pointers in 39 minutes.

Porter had the fifth triple-double of his career.

Both teams will play road games on Thursday: The Bucks at Oklahoma City, while the Magic at Sacramento.
