
Carlos Cordeiro has resigned from his position as senior adviser to FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
The American said that he “cannot stand by” in the wake of Infantino’s proposal to sell stakes in the body’s major tournaments.
Cordeiro described it as a “bad deal for football”, with North America, Europe and Asia’s governing bodies planning to reject the proposal.
