Portland Trail Blazers point guard Scoot Henderson is getting close to making his season debut, with head coach Tiago Splitter indicating that the young guard is nearing a return.

Splitter described Henderson as being “very, very close” to rejoining the lineup.

Henderson has yet to appear in a game this season after suffering a left hamstring tear shortly before the year began.

While the team has avoided setting a firm return date, the Blazers have recently noted that Henderson is in the final phase of his rehabilitation process.

Despite ongoing backcourt injury issues, Portland has managed to remain in the mix for a Play-In Tournament spot.

Jrue Holiday has been limited to just 21 appearances out of 49 games, while both Henderson and Damian Lillard have missed the entire season so far.

Getting Henderson back on the floor, especially alongside a healthy Holiday, is expected to help solidify the team’s lead guard situation moving forward.
