Following the sacking of Wolves boss Vitor Pereira, all eyes are now on Fulham manager Marco Silva, with the betting sites making him the favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked.
There have been four sackings already this season, with Nottingham Forest duo of Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou, West Ham’s Graham Potter and Pereira all losing their jobs by the first week of November.
Silva could be next in line to go, if recent market support proves accurate. The Cottagers have won just one of their seven matches in all competitions and lost five of their last six in the league to leave them just one point above the relegation zone and level on points with Leeds United, whose boss Daniel Farke is also under pressure.
The German is at 7/4 in the Premier League odds to be the next manager sacked ahead of Newcastle’s Eddie Howe.
Next Premier League Manager to Leave Odds
Leeds have 11 points from their 11 games back in the top-flight, and although football betting sites are offering odds on who will replace Farke at Elland Road, the club isn’t panicking just yet.
After opening the season with a 1-0 win over Everton, hopes were high that Leeds could help break the mould of the three promoted teams going straight back down, but they have lost six of their 10 games since, including back-to-back defeats against Brighton and Forest.
Things don’t get much easier for them, though, with their next four matches coming against Aston Villa, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool, so whether the Leeds boss will survive until Christmas remains to be seen.
Is Howe really on thin ice?
It’s hard to believe that Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is under pressure at Newcastle after the success he has had during his four years in charge, but they have yet to really get going this season.
After winning the League Cup last term, the club’s first trophy in 56 years, Howe also led the side to Champions League qualification for a second time via a fifth-place finish in the Premier League table.
This season, they have struggled since the departure of Alexander Isak, scoring just 11 goals in 11 league games and picking up just three wins, which leaves them 14th in the table, behind the likes of Brentford and Everton.
There are no such worries in the Champions League, with three wins against Union St-Gilloise, Benfica, and Athletic Bilbao in their first four games, putting them in sixth in the league table.
However, they are currently 10/1 in the Premier League top four odds to be back in the Champions League next season, and Howe’s odds to be the next manager to leave have shrunk, albeit he’s a distant third in the betting to Silva and Farke.
Slot is sliding in the wrong direction
Liverpool boss Arne Slot has seen his price come into 16/1 in the sack race odds, just behind Burnley’s Scott Parker and the same price as Everton manager David Moyes.
They might be the reigning Premier League champions, but Liverpool are already out at 11/1 on Premier League betting sites to win the league again after losing five top flight match already.
Since dominating the league last season and winning it by 10 points, the Dutchman has struggled to find a way to shoehorn his big-money summer signings into the side.
After spending £446m in the summer, many thought they would run away with the league title and after winning the opening seven games on paper in all competitions, things were heading in the right direction.
The big problem, though, has been defensively. After just 11 league games, they have already conceded 17 league goals, and at this stage last season, they had conceded just six.
With goalkeeper Allison expected back after the international break and Isak’s fitness improving every day, surely things will improve enough at Anfield for Slot to try and turn Liverpool’s season around.
Responsible gambling
Betting should only ever be considered a form of entertainment – it has not, and will never be, a surefire way to make money, no matter how much you think you know about sports.
When using gambling sites, always factor in the probability of a loss and therefore, only bet what you can afford to lose.
Make sure you use the responsible gambling tools offered by safe betting sites, such as deposit limits, reality checks, loss limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. These can stop your gambling from getting out of hand.
The same applies whether you’re using the best betting sites, casino sites, online slots UK, bingo sites or any other form of gambling.
It’s particularly important not to get carried away by free bets or casino offers, both of which may require you to spend money to be unlocked and, therefore, must be examined to determine if they are worth your time and money.
If you have gambling-related concerns, don’t be afraid to seek help. There are several UK charities and institutions that offer support, advice and information, with a few listed below:
