Roscommon’s O’Rourke bids to become world champion this afternoon

Roscommon’s Aoife O’Rourke will bid to become a world boxing champion this afternoon.

The Castlerea native will face Turkey’s Busra Isildar in the 75kg final at the World Championships in Liverpool.

Ireland will bring home their best haul from the tournament since 2015, with Grainne Walsh and Patsy Joyce both landing bronze medals.
