Sandro Mamukelashvili scored 22 points and Brandon Ingram added 20 to lead the Toronto Raptors past the Portland Trail Blazers 110-98 on Friday at Moda Center.
Toronto controlled the game despite being outscored from beyond the arc 39-27 and committing more turnovers, relying on balanced scoring and key plays down the stretch.
Jrue Holiday and Shaedon Sharpe each tallied 21 points for Portland, who were without Deni Avdija and saw their four-game win streak snapped.
The Raptors trailed 76-74 entering the fourth quarter but responded with back-to-back 3-pointers and a Scottie Barnes dunk to take an 84-78 lead with nearly 10 minutes left.
Mamukelashvili’s foul shot put Toronto ahead 95-87, and after he missed the 3-point play, Brandon Ingram converted a putback to push the lead to double digits.
Caleb Love’s 3-pointer brought Portland to 98-94, but the Blazers could not close the gap, as the Raptors maintained control with consistent scoring from Ingram, Mamukelashvili, and Barnes.
Toronto shot 53% from the field and 31% from three, while outrebounding Portland 46-45.
The Raptors improve to 28-19, securing a third-place spot in the Eastern Conference, while Portland drops to 23-23, just above .500 in the West.
Toronto will visit the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, while Portland travels to face the Boston Celtics on Monday.
