The Detroit Pistons are finalizing a deal to convert two-way guard Daniss Jenkins to a full NBA contract, agreeing to a two-year arrangement that includes a team option for the 2026-27 season, sources tell ESPN.
The agreement was reached after negotiations between the Pistons and Jenkins’ representative, Derek Jackson of UNLTD Sports Group, and was structured using a portion of Detroit’s bi-annual exception.
Jenkins has emerged as one of the season’s most surprising contributors for the Eastern Conference-leading Pistons, posting career-best numbers in scoring and playmaking while reaching double figures in points in 15 games so far, contests in which Detroit has gone 12-3.
After beginning his professional career on a two-way deal with the Pistons following his status as an undrafted player in 2024, Jenkins’ strong and consistent performances have earned him a standard NBA contract and a more secure role with the franchise.
