
The Denver Nuggets visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday, November 19, at Smoothie King Center with both teams dealing with multiple injuries.
Denver will be without Christian Braun (left ankle sprain), Julian Strawther (low back pain), Tamar Bates, DaRon Holmes II, and Curtis Jones, all sidelined due to G League assignments or injuries.
The Pelicans enter the game with a depleted roster as well. Zion Williamson is questionable with a left hamstring strain, while Dejounte Murray (right Achilles rupture), Jordan Poole (left quad strain), and Karlo Matkovic (right calf strain) will miss the contest. Trey Alexander and Hunter Dickinson are out due to G League commitments, and Saddiq Bey remains questionable with a left ankle sprain.
Denver holds a 10-4 record after a 123-112 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on November 15 and a narrow 130-127 loss to the Chicago Bulls on November 17.
Nikola Jokic leads the Nuggets with 28.7 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 10.9 assists per game, while Jamal Murray contributes 22.1 points and 6.3 assists. Aaron Gordon adds 19.9 points per contest.
New Orleans struggles at 2-13, coming off back-to-back losses to Golden State (124-106) and Oklahoma City (126-109).
Williamson averages 22.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game when active, while Trey Murphy III contributes 19.7 points and 6.8 rebounds. Poole and rookie Jonathan Fears are other key scorers when healthy, averaging 17.3 and 15.3 points, respectively.
The two teams previously met on October 29 with Denver securing a decisive 122-88 victory in New Orleans. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET.
