Jordan Hawkins appears to be the New Orleans Pelicans player most likely to be moved ahead of this year’s trade deadline, according to Rod Walker.
Like Jordan Poole, Hawkins has recently fallen out of the rotation and has not logged any minutes over the past six games.
After showing promise during his sophomore season by averaging 10.8 points in 23.6 minutes per game, the third-year guard has been unable to find consistency this year.
Hawkins is currently averaging just 4.3 points per game while shooting .320 from the field, .301 from three-point range, and .778 from the free-throw line.
Entering the league out of UConn with a reputation as a shooting specialist, he has connected on 34.2% of his three-point attempts for his career.
Still, at just 23 years old, Hawkins may be viewed by rival teams as a candidate who could benefit from a fresh opportunity in a new environment.
