Paris Basketball holds off Maccabi

Paris Basketball claimed its first victory of the 2025–26 EuroLeague season with a 101–94 road win over Maccabi Tel Aviv at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall in Belgrade. The visitors improved to 1–1, while Maccabi fell to 0–2.

Nadir Hifi led the way for Paris with 21 points and five steals. Justin Robinson added 15 points, and Yakuba Ouattara chipped in 12, helping the French side build and maintain a lead throughout the game.

For Maccabi, Lonnie Walker and Jeffrey Dowtin each scored 16 points. Jaylen Hoard contributed 15, TJ Leaf had 14, and Jimmy Clark added 11, but the team could not overcome Paris’ efficient offense.

Maccabi started strong with a 9–2 run, highlighted by Dowtin’s three-pointer and Hoard’s consecutive layups. Paris responded with a 2–17 run, led by Robinson’s tip-in and Hifi’s consecutive threes, establishing a 20–27 first-quarter lead.

The second quarter saw both teams trade baskets, but Paris maintained control. Bako and Ouattara scored in transition, and Morgan added a put-back dunk, giving Paris a 41–48 halftime advantage despite Maccabi trimming the gap late in the period.

After halftime, Hifi continued to shine with a fadeaway jumper and timely steals. Paris extended its lead with Robinson’s three-pointer and Dokossi’s fast-break basket, holding a 63–74 margin entering the fourth quarter.

Paris pulled away early in the fourth with an 80–63 lead after coast-to-coast scoring by Morgan and a jumper by Hifi. Maccabi battled back with Hoard and Clark connecting from deep, but the visitors’ balanced attack kept the lead beyond reach.

Ouattara’s calm free throws and Dokossi’s put-back secured the win, finishing a 101–94 victory for Paris.
