The Indiana Pacers plan to waive guard Monte Morris and sign forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl to a standard, non-guaranteed contract, NBA insider Shams Charania reported Thursday.
Robinson-Earl has averaged 5.2 points and 6.2 rebounds across two 10-day hardship contracts with Indiana this season.
Morris, who has struggled to find consistent production with the Pacers, will exit a roster currently at 2–13, with Bennedict Mathurin (27.8 PPG) and Pascal Siakam (24.7 PPG) leading the team offensively.
Robinson-Earl, selected 32nd overall in the 2021 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks and subsequently traded to Oklahoma City, has previous experience with multiple teams including the Pelicans and Mavericks. He appeared in two 10-day contracts with the Pacers in November.
Morris’ departure removes a guard averaging 3.0 points and 1.5 assists in six games.
