Osborne shoulder injury to be assessed

Jamie Osborne will be assessed in the week for a shoulder injury that forced him off in yesterday’s Autumn Nations test against Japan.

41-10 was the score for Ireland at the Aviva Stadium, but Osborne looked in a lot of pain as he came off.

Two more games are to come for Ireland, against Australia next week, then against South Africa.

Scotland fell just short of an historic first victory over New Zealand with a 25-17 defeat in their clash at Murrayfield.

The hosts had come back from 17 points down.

England have extended their winning run to nine games with a 38-18 victory over Fiji.

South Africa put on a show in the final few minutes, to beat France 32-17 in Paris.
