Miami Heat wing Norman Powell entered Sunday’s game in Washington listed as questionable because of a right-hand sprain and later exited the lopsided win in the third quarter due to lower back tightness.

Despite the two issues and a busy All-Star weekend approaching, which includes both his first All-Star selection and participation in the three-point contest, Powell downplayed any concern about his health.

“I think a lot to do with being stuck on the plane for a lot of hours,” Powell said of the back tightness, according to Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald.

“And then soft beds at the hotel. We tried to make an adjustment. But they didn’t have what we needed to have, a little firmer mattress there. I always get a little back flare-up when I’m sleeping on soft mattresses.”

Powell has played 11 seasons for 4 teams, including the Raptors and Clippers. He has averaged 13.9 points and 2.7 rebounds in 662 regular-season games.

He has won 1 NBA championship.
