The Brooklyn Nets have added free agent center David Muoka to their roster, according to the NBA.com’s transaction log.
Muoka, who played college basketball at Lamar University from 2019 to 2021 and at UNLV from 2021 to 2023, spent the 2023-24 season with the Long Island Nets before going undrafted in 2024.
He subsequently signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Portland Trail Blazers last fall. Muoka’s G League rights were initially traded from Long Island to Portland’s affiliate, the Rip City Remix, and then rerouted a month later to the Windy City Bulls.
During 48 games for the Windy City Bulls last season, Muoka averaged 10.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks in 26.5 minutes per game, shooting an impressive 66.5% from the field.
His performance highlighted his efficiency around the rim and defensive presence in the paint.
While an Exhibit 10 contract is a logical option for a player like Muoka, who has spent the past two years in the G League, these deals typically do not appear in the NBA.com transaction log.
As such, additional information will be needed to clarify the precise terms of his agreement with the Nets.
With Muoka’s addition, Brooklyn now has a full 21-man offseason roster.
Reported deals with Ricky Council IV and Grant Nelson have not yet been officially completed, suggesting the Nets may continue making roster adjustments in the coming weeks.
