The Brooklyn Nets have ruled out forwards Michael Porter Jr. and Danny Wolf for the rest of the 2025/26 season, head coach Jordi Fernandez confirmed.

Porter’s shutdown was expected after he suffered a left hamstring strain on March 19. He finishes his first season in Brooklyn with 24.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists across 52 games, posting several career highs.

Fernandez praised his impact in a new role.

“Michael in a new situation, being on the same team for seven years on a championship team and now having a different role, a different situation, everything has been also very positive,” he said.

“He’s played at an All-Star level. In my opinion, he should’ve been an All-Star. And now I want him to come back here and have a chip on his shoulder, lead the team the way he’s been doing the same way.”

Wolf, who sprained his left ankle on March 22, will also miss the remainder of the season.

“He showed that he belongs,” Fernandez said, while noting the rookie should focus on improving efficiency next year.
