
Tralee CBS are Munster champions.
They’ve won against High School Clonmel in the TUS Corn Uí Mhuirí Final.
In Mallow it finished 2-19 to 1-13.
Tralee CBS were down by 2 points to 1 after 4 minutes, they trailed 3 to 1 after 6 minutes. Back to back points had it at 3 points all after 9 minutes. Tralee CBS had the next two points as well and opened up a 5 points to 3 lead after 13 minutes. The lead was out to 8 points to 3 after 20 minutes, and 0-10 to 3 with 4 minutes of the half remaining. Tralee CBS had also been denied a goal thanks to good saves by the High School Clonmel goalkeeper. Gearoid White had set up plenty for his team mates and finally got on target himself in the closing minutes of the half. The half time lead was 11 points to 3.
Tralee CBS goaled at the start of the second period, a strike from Eoin Flaherty putting his side 11 clear. 13 minutes into the period it was 1-14 to 0-8. A Clonmel goal then brought the gap down to 6, at 1-14 to 1-8. That deficit was at 4 following a two pointer; 49 minutes on the clock. That gap quickly became 3. Tralee CBS stemmed the tide with a much needed score, a great goal from Gearoid White making it 2-14 to 1-11. Tralee CBS posted the next two points to move out of sight. They prevailed by 9.
