Clounmacon/Moyvane have missed out on Provincial glory.

They went down in the AIB Ladies Munster Intermediate Club Football Championship final in Mallow.
The decider saw them defeated by Naomh Abán, Cork after extra time, 2-11 to 2-8.

Naomh Abàn had the opening point after 2 minutes, Clounmacon-Moyvane equalising through Kelly Enright in the 11th minute. 2 goals in 2 minutes just before the quarter hour mark shot the Cork outfit 6 clear at 2-1 to 0-1. Clounmacon-Moyvane responded with points from Erin Finucane and Laura Sheeran to make it 2-1 to 0-3 after 19 minutes. Naomh Abàn went 5 ahead but points by Gillian Musgrave and Kelly Enright cut the gap to 3 at 2-2 to 0-5 with 29 minutes gone. Naomh Abàn had the last point of the period to lead at half time by 2-3 to 0-5.
9 minutes into the second half Naomh Abàn were 5 up at 2-5 to 0-6. A Clounmacon-Moyvane point by Marie Kennelly brought the deficit down to 4. Naomh Abàn had the next two points and were 6 ahead after 50 minutes. A Marie Kennelly goal 1 minute later halved the deficit at 2-7 to 1-7. Naomh Abàn went 4 ahead and that was their advantage in added on time. Erin Finucane pointed to keep Clounmacon-Moyvane alive and in the 5th extra minute the same player goaled to force extra-time. It finished 2-8 apiece.
There was only 1 score in the first half of extra time, and that went to Naomh Abàn. Clounmacon-Moyvane failed to score in the second period also while their opponents put over twice to win by 3.
