Munster beaten at Toulon

There was heartbreak for both Irish sides in European rugby action today.

Munster have fallen to a 27-25 defeat to Toulon in their Champions Cup match.

Tom Farrell scored a try with five minutes to go to give Munster the lead but a penalty has given the French side the victory.

Meanwhile, Connacht let a big lead slip and were beaten by Montpellier in the Challenge Cup.

They allowed their opponents to score 19 unanswered points with Montpellier coming out on top by 33 points to 31.

Ulster’s scheduled meeting with the Cheetahs was postponed due to an unplayable pitch.

The Clovers are up to third in the Celtic Challenge table after beating Brython Thunder today.

Catriona Finn’s penalty proved the difference as the Irish side held on to win 15-12 at Cardiff Arms Park.

They’re five points off fellow Irish side the Wolfhounds who lead the table after three bonus point victories.
