Marcus Bagley is getting another chance with the Sixers, as the team officially re-signed him to a second 10-day contract, per a team press release.
His first deal expired Wednesday night, and while this one is technically another 10-day, it’ll only span nine days due to the regular season ending on April 13.
Bagley, 23, appeared in five games during his initial stint with the 76ers, averaging 4.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 20 minutes per game.
He was efficient inside the arc, making 9-of-12 two-pointers (75%), but struggled from deep, going 0-for-12 overall and finishing with a 37.5% field goal percentage.
Undrafted in 2023 after an injury-plagued college career at Arizona State, Bagley has remained within the Sixers’ system ever since.
He suited up for Philadelphia’s Summer League team and has spent two seasons with their G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats.
Philly’s full roster typically wouldn’t allow another signing, but the team received hardship exceptions due to multiple injuries.
That has allowed Bagley and fellow big man Colin Castleton to remain on the active roster under those special circumstances.
