Luka Doncic shared his thoughts ahead of the 2025–26 NBA Regular Season, marking his first full year wearing the Los Angeles Lakers uniform. The Slovenian star expressed enthusiasm and confidence about the team’s preparation and mindset as they gear up for the season opener.
“I think we have been practicing great. Everybody is so excited. I am so excited. All the preseason is behind us, so we are excited to get started,” said the 26-year-old after Monday’s practice session. His tone reflected both relief and anticipation as the Lakers transition from preparation to competition.
“The goal is to win the championship,” he stated firmly. “Just try to go game by game, and try to win every game.” His focus on consistency and daily improvement mirrors the leadership role he has embraced since joining Los Angeles.

“Steph versus LeBron, everybody in the world would watch it. Obviously, going against Steph is very exciting. But it’s going to be tough. I don’t know if it’s a rivalry, but for sure it’s an exciting game,” he commented, showing both respect and eagerness for the contest.
