Leonard-Harden duo lifts Clippers to dominate the Nets 126-89

The Los Angeles Clippers dominated the Brooklyn Nets 126-89 after building a 38-point lead in the second quarter on Sunday night.

Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard dropped 21 of his 28 points in the first half, James Harden scored 19, John Collins added 18, and Jordan Miller had 16.

Ivica Zubac finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds as the Clippers had won for the eighth time in nine games.

On the other hand, Danny Wolf dropped 14 points, and Egor Demin had 12 for the Nets, who shot 28% in the first half and 34% with 29 for 86 overall, including 21% of 9 for 43 from deep.

The Nets lost their fourth straight and have dropped 10 of their last 11 games and 13 of 15.

Brooklyn was coming off a double-overtime loss on Friday to the Boston Celtics, followed by the New York Knicks with 120-66.

Los Angeles started a 24-point lead in the first quarter and extended their advantage to 38 points in the second, carrying a 68-37 lead into the break.

The Clippers have maintained their lopsided advantage in the second half and led 96-66 heading into the fourth.

Meanwhile, when teams met in LA on January 15, 2025, the Clippers won 126-67, and the 59-point margin of victory is the only 50-point win for them.

Both teams will play road games on Tuesday: the Nets take on the Suns, while the Clippers face the Jazz.
