LaMelo Ball avoided attention following his recent car accident in Charlotte, as new video obtained by TMZ Sports shows the Hornets guard quickly leaving the scene in a Lamborghini that arrived shortly after the crash.
His customized 2022 GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 was left disabled in the street without wheels.
An eyewitness filmed the incident from a nearby building overlooking uptown Charlotte on Wednesday, shortly after Ball’s Hummer collided with a Kia sedan at a downtown intersection.
Reports say a black Lamborghini pulled up about 10 minutes later, and the pickup happened quickly, with a man opening the passenger door before Ball exited his vehicle and entered the waiting luxury SUV.
Medics responded to the scene for one person who suffered minor injuries, though it did not appear to be Ball, who seemed unharmed. Both vehicles were later towed away, and the 24-year-old NBA star has not commented publicly on the accident.
Ball’s Hummer had been heavily customized by Dreamworks Motorsports, featuring a desert-camouflage 3M wrap, custom paint, orange leather interior, specialized audio equipment, and LED accent lighting.
The Hornets were set to return from the All-Star break later that day against Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets, leaving Ball potentially needing alternate transportation following the crash.
