The Los Angeles Lakers have trimmed their roster to the regular-season limit, waiving Augustas Marciulionis, RJ Davis, Jeenathan Williams, and Anton Watson, the team announced in a press release. All four players had joined the organization on non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contracts.
Marciulionis, son of Lithuanian basketball legend Sarunas Marciulionis, went undrafted after a standout collegiate career at Saint Mary’s. The two-time WCC Player of the Year averaged 14.2 points, 5.9 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game last season but did not appear in any preseason contests for Los Angeles.
Davis, the former North Carolina standout and 2023–24 ACC Player of the Year, made a strong impression in limited preseason action. The six-foot guard averaged 10.0 points in just 14.3 minutes per game while shooting 66.7% from the field.
Williams, more commonly known as Nate, spent last season with the Houston Rockets, splitting time between a two-way deal and a standard contract. The 25-year-old appeared in 20 NBA games, averaging 3.3 points in 7.4 minutes per contest, before being waived during the offseason.
Watson, a second-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, also has limited NBA experience. The former Gonzaga forward played nine games as a rookie last year, primarily on a two-way contract. He spent time with both the Celtics and Knicks before joining the Lakers for training camp.
All four waived players are expected to report to the South Bay Lakers, the franchise’s G League affiliate.
