The New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers meet Saturday afternoon at Wells Fargo Center with both teams managing key injury situations. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:00 PM ET, with New York entering at 26-18 and Philadelphia at 24-19.
Injuries will play a meaningful role in shaping rotations, especially in the frontcourt. Both clubs are also jockeying for position in the Eastern Conference standings, where they sit fourth and sixth, respectively.
New York’s most significant question mark is Karl-Anthony Towns, who is listed as questionable due to thoracic back spasms. The center has been a major part of the Knicks’ offense, averaging 20.8 points and 11.5 rebounds across 41 games.
The Knicks’ injury report also includes several G League-related absences. Pacome Dadiet, Trey Jemison III, Dillon Jones, Kevin McCullar Jr., and Mohamed Diawara are all tied to G League assignments or two-way designations, with only Diawara and Ariel Hukporti listed as available.
Despite those roster constraints, New York enters on a one-game winning streak after a 120-66 blowout of Brooklyn. Jalen Brunson continues to anchor the offense, posting 27.9 points and 6.1 assists per game, while Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby provide efficient two-way production.
Philadelphia’s injury report offers more optimism near tipoff. Joel Embiid is listed as probable with right ankle injury management, and Paul George carries the same designation due to left knee management.
Embiid has averaged 24.5 points and 7.3 rebounds in 24 appearances, while George contributes 15.6 points and 5.3 rebounds.
Kelly Oubre Jr. is available after left knee injury recovery and will play with a brace. The wing has averaged 14.6 points on 48.9 percent shooting in 21 games, giving Philadelphia another scoring option alongside Tyrese Maxey.
Maxey enters as the game’s leading scorer, averaging 30.1 points while playing nearly 40 minutes per night.
Philadelphia is coming off a 128-122 overtime win against Houston, while New York looks to build momentum on the road.
