
Kerry have drawn with Westmeath in Division 2 of the Allianz Hurling League.
It was 2-11 to 0-17 at Austin Stack Park, Tralee.
Westmeath had the first 3 points of the encounter, inside 8 minutes. Kerry’s first score was the game tying goal in the 15th minute, scored by Tom Doyle. 2 successive points had the Kingdom in front; 1-2 to 0-3 after 19 minutes. 4 minutes later it was all square, Westmeath having hit back to back points of their own. After Ronan Walsh pointed Kerry ahead a goal from the same player meant the Kingdom were in front by 2-4 to 0-6 in the 27th minute. Walsh received a second yellow card in the 32nd minute. Kerry led 2-5 to 0-7 at the break.
The Kingdom were ahead 2-8 to 8 points after 45 minutes. The gap was 4; 2-9 to 0-11; with 54 minutes on the clock. Kerry led 2-11 to 0-14 with 5 minutes remaining. While the Kingdom were not to score again Westmeath rattled off 3 points to grab a share of the spoils.
In Division 1A, All Ireland champions Tipperary eased to a 5-24 to 1-18 win over Offaly at O�Connor Park.
Waterford are on the board as they got past Limerick by 1-21 to 20 points at Walsh Park.
In Division 1B, Clare have beaten Antrim by 2-30 to 1-19, while Wexford got the better of Down by 27 points to 25 in Ballycran.
