Karl-Anthony Towns scored 37 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the New York Knicks to a 113-100 victory over the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center on Monday night. Jalen Brunson added 27 points, extending New York’s dominance over Brooklyn to 12 consecutive wins.

Towns shot 14-of-20 from the field and made all six free throws, while Mikal Bridges contributed 16 points and Jordan Clarkson added 12 off the bench. The Knicks shot 51% overall and held Brooklyn to 38% from the floor, controlling the game’s tempo throughout.

The third quarter proved decisive as Towns and Bridges combined for 23 points, helping New York outscore Brooklyn 38-27 on 63.6% shooting, including six made 3-pointers, to take an 89-75 lead entering the final period. Terance Mann’s early three-point play briefly tied the game at 51, but the Knicks quickly regained control.

New York played without Landry Shamet, sidelined with a right shoulder sprain, but Towns’ inside presence and Brunson’s playmaking provided stability. The Knicks improved to 10-6 overall, while Brooklyn falls to 3-14, remaining winless at home this season.

After the game, Towns spoke in an emotional on-court interview, emphasizing gratitude during Thanksgiving week. “I’m extremely thankful for the opportunity I get every single day to put a Knicks jersey on,” he said. “I’m thankful to have my father in my life… and to continue to wake up every day and try again.”

Towns reflected on his offensive approach, noting he focused on efficiency rather than forcing three-pointers. “I trust the work I put in,” he said. “Even though I haven’t been shooting the ball amazingly well to start the season… I know the first one in the gym, last one to leave, everything will turn around.”

Through 16 games this season, Towns is averaging 22.6 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 33.4 minutes per game. Brunson leads the Knicks at 28.3 points and 6.5 assists in 34.1 minutes per contest, while Bridges adds 16.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

New York now prepares for a road game in Charlotte on Wednesday, while the Nets will host Philadelphia on Friday in search of their first win at Barclays Center this season.
